Stan Jackson, the owner of WWW.WALTERPAYTONAUTOGRAPHS.COM, first met Mr. Payton in Nashville , TN in 1997 while speaking to Boys and Girls Club Of Nashville. A lifelong fan, Mr. Jackson was introduced to Mr. Payton and they exchanged contact info.

Mr. Jackson is very active with the recording industry and helped Mr. Payton numerous times in searching for items for his personal needs etc with his vast knowledge and resources in the industry. It was at this time when the Walter Payton Inc. and Walter Payton Foundation staff contacted Mr. Jackson for help in contacting some artist and their representatives for some upcoming projects they were involved in. After completing this project, a great relationship was formed.

In the fall of 1997, the Walter Payton Foundation contacted Mr. Jackson again. Mr. Payton was scheduled to make an appearance in Nashville, TN in August 1997 and they thought he would need someone to accompany him to and from the airport, to the event site and to make sure he arrived in time for his return flight.

In November 1997, the Walter Payton Foundation was in need of some music industry related items for under-privileged children during the holidays. Mr. Jackson, with the help of many generous corporations, was able to secure a large amount of donated items including:

  • Batteries
  • CD singles and Cassette Tapes
  • Children’s videos
  • Storage cases for Walkman Cassette Players

Over the years, the relationship with the executive staff at Walter Payton Inc. and the former Walter Payton Foundation has grown and to this day, it is a very close relationship. Although there is no more Walter Payton Inc. or Walter Payton Foundation, there was still work to be done.

In March 2001 Mr. Jackson was asked to help in selling the remaining inventory form the private signings that had been held at Walter Payton Inc. over the years. The items had been used to raise funds for events the Walter Payton Foundation sponsored. Mr. Jackson, an avid sports memorabilia collector, was asked to help in this process.
